Barbara is a partner with the firm practicing in the areas of Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices and Wage & Hour Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Privacy and Cyber Liability, Professional Liability and General Liability Coverage, and Insurance Coverage Litigation and Arbitration. Her practice also includes the drafting of insurance policies and the representation of insurers in coverage matters. She also advises insurers regarding liabilities faced by employers and underwriting considerations relevant to insuring those liabilities.
Barbara has authored multiple articles on D&O liability and insurance coverage litigation. She has lectured nationally for the American Bar Association Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section on multiple topics involving D&O liability and employment practices liability.
Barbara is the former Chair of the Professionals’ Officers and Directors Liability Committee of the American Bar Association Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). She currently sits on several special Standing Committees of the TIPS Section and is a Vice Chair of the TIPS Professionals’ Officers and Directors Liability and Insurance Coverage Litigation Committees. She is a member of the ABA’s Business Law Section as well as the TIPS Employment and Labor Law Committee, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Claims Litigation Management Alliance. Barbara has also been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
